Global Warming. A Crock of Shit?

I have become quite cynical of the media.

The media is a viable businesses only when there is news, because then people watch and listen, and then advertisers want to pay to get exposure too.

Quite frankly I think that the concept of global warming was made up one day when there wasn’t any news.

One volcano can vent more pollution and poisonous gases in a week then we can with our factories and vehicles! (I have no statistics to back up this claim)

Global warming is often blamed for the supposed increase in the frequency of natural disasters: floods, tsunami’s, storms for example. I suggest that the media has more eyes in more places and news stories are exchanged globally far more readily than ever before. Additionally, the world population is now so large that many low income groups live in at risk locations.

I believe that the planet goes through natural climate cycles. If there is any basis to the claims about global warming, perhaps this is end of one phase and the beginning of another.

Author Michael Crichton in his novel “State of Fear” researched global warming for 3 years before writing his book. He thinks its a crock of shit.

And lately have you noticed that you don’t see the phrase “global warming” in the media any more? Now it’s called “climate change”.  Which means “some places will be warmer, some colder, some wetter, some drier, some windier, some calmer”.

Well duh. That’s called “weather”.

  1. When people say the planet is ‘warming’, what are they comparing this ‘warming’ to? When has the world ever stayed at a constant temperature? Do they expect us to believe the world stayed the same up until humans started burning fossil fuel? Man-made global warming is complete, utter bullshit. And if for some reason man is causing global warming, fuck it. We won’t be the first, or the last species on this earth to kill off others for the sake of our own survival. That’s survival of the fittest right?

    1. ‘And if for some reason man is causing global warming, fuck it. We won’t be the first, or the last species on this earth to kill off others for the sake of our own survival. That’s survival of the fittest right?’

Wrong! The expression ‘survival of the fittest’ refers to the extent to which an organism can adapt to, and thrive, within any given ecological niche, i.e. ‘fit’ like a piece in a jigsaw puzzle.

It does NOT mean killing off your ‘competition’.

      1. doesn’t make it wrong either Peter.

I think it’s easy to believe what the news say especially when you’re on the educational route that emphasizes the importance of the media all throughout your life. Therefore, everything that you hear from the media will be consistent to the logic that you’ve been conditioned with. Everyone hears what’s going on with the media but only those who have ventured outside of the media for a bit of time to assess the subject matter objectively will have a balanced perspective versus just a one-sided perspective that you’ve been spoonfed your entire life through not only the media but the interconnected educational system.

If you have a Phd in the science of climate, you might as well throw it away because you’re likely to regurgitate information that you’ve read somewhere or done a bunch of research based on a false foundation of understanding.

  2. i never believed global warming from the begining i have to say i am a bit youg but verry intelligent and the theories of global warming dosent add up say the earth is getting hotter and the media says global warming ,but some places of the earth has gotten colder but u never hear clobal cooling i believe what we are expecting now is a natural occurance.that has happened in the past and will happen againg in the future.

    1. ‘youg but verry intelligent’

Intelligent? The evidence in this atrociously constructed piece of writing suggests otherwise.

      1. i respect your understanding of grammar and diction or even the tone in which you write. do you think it’s effective in getting the message across?

last time I checked, grammar, diction, and tone doesn’t contribute much towards IQ. on the contrary, insecure people tend to use more of it to prop up their IQ.

I apologize Peter but I once had your logic not so long ago and care not for the same logic anymore so your messages gave me a bit of an unpleasant time. However, you are entitled to your popular beliefs and in your world, it is true however way you want it. You have my support so much love to you.

  3. Solution to this horse shit of Global Warming:
Instead of Carbon Credits which of course is just another way to suck dollars from your pocket and does nothing to correct or help a bullshit problem….
Pass legislation that each home that exist, require that each home place a swamp cooler on top of their house for the soul purpose of cooling the air of which must operate for at least 10 hours per day……and if you’d like to benefit from it in the summer…well ok.
Each cooler would could more air than I or 60 of my descendants could ever warm…..in a life time….
Stuff that in your flatulence filled meat pie Mr. Gore.

  4. I honestly don’t know if it’s a crock or not. Seems to me that those trying to disprove it have more to gain. Regardless of whether the climate is changing or not, our air is getting dirtier, our water is getting more toxic, and many of our resources are actually finite, though we prefer to believe they are everlasting. Beyond the political bullshit, valuing our resources and living consciously are more important than ever.

  5. Thanks for your comment Steve!

I agree. Living sustainably is smart from a personal and a business perspective.

  6. It doesn’t matter what you think because in 30 years people will be saying here comes the next ice age,and then another 30 warming and so on,we have been doing this since we first stood up right,we foretell a coming disaster and as usual it is our sins which are to blame whether that be a lack of faith in god or science we are to blame, the mians so this coming hundreds of years ago it ends in 2 years

  7. what global warming has done is made us all miss the important disasters such as rubbish pollution, over population and coming famines, well done you global warming idiots from distracting people from the real problems of which they will never believe you about now anyway IDIOTS,

  8. ‘One volcano can vent more pollution and poisonous gases in a week then we can with our factories and vehicles! (I have no statistics to back up this claim)’.

If you have nothing to back up such a claim, then you should not make it in the first place.

‘I believe that the planet goes through natural climate cycles. If there is any basis to the claims about global warming, perhaps this is end of one phase and the beginning of another.’

Opinion and speculation are no substitute for facts. What you ‘believe’ to be true is irrelevant, unless you can justify and substantiate your belief(s) with some credible evidence, which you do not present here.

‘Author Michael Crichton in his novel “State of Fear” researched global warming for 3 years before writing his book. He thinks its a crock of shit.’

‘State of Fear’ was a work of fiction – a novel. Yes, he did research the topic before he wrote this book, but to use it as a source to bolster one’s own personal beliefs about global warming is as inane as using ‘The DaVinci Code’ to argue that the Vatican is involved in a diabolical conspiracy to hide the truth about certain historical facts regarding the church and/or Jesus Christ.

‘And lately have you noticed that you don’t see the phrase “global warming” in the media any more? Now it’s called “climate change”. Which means “some places will be warmer, some colder, some wetter, some drier, some windier, some calmer”.

    Well duh. That’s called “weather”.’

Yes, that (unfortunately) is true. The expression ‘climate change’ is completely amorphous and malleable; it can mean whatever you, or anyone else, want it to mean. It has the nasty stench of post-modernist, pseudo-scientific relativist twaddle attached to it.

  9. I believe there is enough evidence to point to human activity (like fossil fuel burning) in global warming; but geological records (ice core samples) indicate that the earth would be under a general warming trend anyways. So in this case I think human activity is adding to a natural cycle of warming. But warming causes entropy in the hydrological cycle; so as part of the trend places will experience unusual cold snaps as well as droughts and heat.
