NZHotPools.co.nz

I am most proud of nzhotpools.co.nz. A website I created because I love hot pools. It features every thermal hot pool in New Zealand (almost 100) for free. Visitors may comment and rate their experiences and contibute by helping to write content.

It is database driven, has an admin menu behind to help me manage it and I'm particularly proud of my search engine rankings.

I received a huge amount of free advertising for it when I launched it in June 05. I had articles in the NZ Herald, the Waikato Times and the Rotorua Daily Post. The link that NZ Herald provided on their website generated 1500 visitors in one day!

Soon after starting my degree at Waikato University I put together a new website to offer my website design services.

I am offering website design to Tauranga small/medium sized businesses who have ineffective websites or no online presence at all, with fine quality at small cost.

I have managed to easily reach my target of producing a site every 3 months as planned, for a little pocket money and to continue to apply my new skill to real-life businesses.
